MaryAnn McCarthy Corporate Benefits Manager
Mary Ann McCarthy, the President of Taymac Associates, Inc., began managing company retirement plans in 2001 as a financial advisor with a large independent financial services firm. During the beginning stages of her career, she recognized that participants were not receiving the education and attention needed to empower them for long term success and as a result the plan was in jeopardy.
Having spent ten years in the educational arena, Mary Ann applied her experience to the development of innovative programs for reaching plan participants and ensuring overall plan success. Mary Ann was soon appointed to Vice President, Head of Retirement Services, responsible for managing a large base of business plans with great success.
When asked about her success in the retirement plan environment, Mary Ann responded, “We put our heart into it. We care about their success, their lives. The people we work with feel that and choose to get involved in learning and saving. Trustees receive greater protection from potential lawsuits, highly compensated employees are allowed to participate more fully and all employees are empowered to participate and experience long term success in their retirement planning. That is a successful plan…our pride and joy!”
